Background

Sameer is a graduate in law from Delhi University and has completed his Masters in Corporate and Commercial Law from the prestigious King’s College, London. Sameer is also a qualified Barrister and a member of The Hon’ble Society of Lincoln’s Inn.

Experience

Sameer has been in practice for more than 10 years and has extensive experience in litigation and arbitration. Sameer is also credited with being one of the youngest counsels to be empanelled as Central Government Pleader in the Hon’ble Delhi High Court. Sameer has previously held the position of Additional Advocate General for the State of Haryana before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and is presently serving the State of Punjab as the Deputy Advocate General at New Delhi.

His expertise lies in advising clients on white collar crimes, corporate frauds and other issues relating to conduct of business which entail criminality. Sameer has been advising corporate clients on quashing proceedings under various enactments and is adept at handling trials of economic offences.

He has vast experience in establishing joint ventures, collaborations, strategic investments and structuring transactions. His expertise and skills as an experienced negotiator help him in structuring complex corporate transactions and ensuring seamless implementation and execution of the transaction documents for effectuation of such transactions. He is also well versed with issues relating to intellectual property and has been involved in regularly advising leading entertainment and media houses and has contributed to the development of the firm’s practice in enforcement of IP.

Sameer is also associated with KIIT University, Orissa, one of the youngest and finest private universities in India, and has been instrumental in developing the KIIT National Law School. He was also instrumental in initiating and organising an All India Corporate Laws Moot Court Competition in collaboration with National Law University, Delhi for his former Firm.
